In the book of Judges we see the roller coaster spiritual life of the children of Israel. From deliverance to disobedience to discipline (bondage) to desperation (crying out to God) and then repeating the process. In chapters 6-8, God raises up a weak and insecure man named Gideon to be used to deliver God's chosen people by His hand.
