From a small home Bible study begun in the early 80s to the ministry that is now called “Calvary Chapel of El Paso,” the one thing that is always in the heart and mind of Pastor Charlie Flores is, “To God be the glory, Great things He hath done!”
What began as an outreach of Calvary Chapel of Las Cruces, New Mexico by Pastor Bob Ortega, has grown into a ministry which has sent missionaries into various parts of Mexico, the Philippines, and Panama while also helping to start other churches in El Paso.
We moved from the home Bible study to rented space for Sunday Service at the YMCA for a while and then an elementary school. We moved to an old building on Paisano Dr. where we remodeled the inside to make a sanctuary, classrooms and an office.
In February of 2002 we had a Ground Breaking Event with prayer and giant earthmoving equipment.
