The next water baptisms will be during our New Year's Eve Fellowship (12-31-24)

WHAT IS WATER BAPTISM?
Jesus commanded us saying: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" Matthew 28:19. Why did Jesus think it was important to be baptized? Because baptism is a symbol of our relationship and identify with Him. Have you ever seen a mime presentation that tells a story or illustrates a truth? Baptism illustrates what happened in your life when you received Jesus as your Savior.

"Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." Romans 6:3-4

Baptism Illustrates the miracle of being born again. When we go into the water, that symbolizes the death and burial of our old nature, and when we come out of the water, that illustrates our new birth and resurrection from the dead. Therefore, Baptism does not save a person, but is symbolic of the salvation that has taken place. For this reason only those who have received Christ as their Savior should be baptized.
WHEN SHOULD YOU BE BAPTIZED?
Baptism is an important step to take for every person who has received Jesus as their Savior. It is a public proclamation that they have died to themselves and now live for Christ. If you have received Jesus into your heart, and you understand what baptism means and symbolizes, you should be baptized at the next available opportunity.
